the wonder of water
There's something about the rise and fall of sparkling water that mesmerizes me.

But it's not just me. I've seen little children (and grown-ups too) toddle towards a fountain with eyes wide and hands outstretched.

Maybe it's an innate sense that reminds us of water's wonderful ability to sustain our lives. Or maybe it looks like just plain fun.

But in the end, it looks like we are all responding to water's magical call. Fountains in the City is an online resource devoted to answering that call.

This site was created so that you could find information about public fountains and architectural water features on the Internet in one convenient place. It hopes to inspire you to learn more about the fountains that grace our cities, to visit and experience existing ones, to help restore old features and to create exciting new ones.

Let me know if there's anything you'd like to see on this site in the future.

Enjoy the water!
